LOVE and Belief !!!

I recently was reading the book called "The Secret" and it says how much powerful is our power of positive thinking... how it can impact our life and how we can get it all what we want.....

I have learned Reiki and it also is the same, positive thinking helps in healing.

You just not have to think positive but you need to believe it it...

I am by birth an Optimistic , love so see the brighter side of life and everything always.. i have lot of faith in myself and the things that i have got lined up by destiny....

When then i think back and reflect on myself, then i can say i am a Hopeless Romantic.
I believe in Love... ever since and always......
I really dont believe in Knight in Shining Armour but i believe in Soulmates...
I beleve that one day i am going to meet my Mr Right,  (thoda tedha medha par mera and sirf mera)

I have always beleved it these words " Mujhe aaj bhi uska intezaar hai jise meri tarah pyaar se pyaar hai" (a dialouge from the movie 'Maine Pyaar Kiya' )

But i have never seen this happenings....
I am 28 + , soon to be 29 and if till now this has not happened to me, then when will it happen....
Now i have started doubting it all....

Ice Age 4 ...
Diego: "I don't know what's wrong with me. I can't eat, I can't sleep..."
Manny: "Oh, I know what you've got. The L word."
Sid: "Yeah, leprosy."
Manny: "No, its four letters, starts with L -- ends with E..."
Sid: "Oh yeah, lice!"
Manny: "No!"

Even Diego fell in love with Shira.

People who dont believe it it, seem to have found love much ahead of me.
So i am thinking if this Secret is true or just bullshit.....

Century !!!

This is my 100th post on this blog ( i mean on my only blog :) and it took me 5 years to write my 100th blog, don't be surprised i am still an amateur, it takes time for some )

And I am kind of clueless what shall be it, what topic shall i choose to write about......
I thought a lot and nada... no idea....nothing rings....

Co-incidently its Teacher's Day in India (5th of Sept) , celebrated on the birth date of Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan (5 September 1888 - 17 April 1975), Teacher and second President of India. , who was a visionary...
He had the vision of taking education seriously in India.
"The end-product of education should be a free creative man, who can battle against historical circumstances and enemies of nature. A life of joy and happiness is possible only on the basis of knowledge and science."

This teachers day i am not only thankful to all my teachers and the very special ones whom i have remembered fondly in this blog here (http://randomwantonthoughts.blogspot.in/2008/09/happy-teachers-day.html) , but this teachers day i am here to thank to all the people around me who have taught me something somewhere in these 28 years of my life.

My First M&B !!!!

I know you would be curious...
Why the hell this person is writing about her first M&B reading....
Oh ! she still has the memory at this age to tell us about her first M&B....

Wrong... All of u...

Some kids are slow... dont you know that....
And time to disclose i am one of those.....

Kids start with M&B series probably when there are in early teens
Even the one i picked (by mistake), the author says she has been reading this series from age of 11 , and she has read the generations of M&B series starting from sixties till date....

But what was i doing at 11 ?
What the kids do in their early teens i am doing in my late twenties .....
Why the hell i was/am such a slow kid ???

But whatever damage is done is all over, no way back for me.....

When i was not much of an ardent reader ; one of my friends used to tell me pick up one of these and read it...
She would say .....these are good.....they have everything, emotion , tragedy, action, reaction, suspense, story , plot , everything .... it would be like watching a Bollywood movie or a Chick Flick...

Though i like these movies , sweet RomComs type , i still never had any urge to indulge myself into books and even if i hoped to it some time i never really felt myself attracted to the sought after M&B ones....

But as they say 'Never Say Never' ....

Recently it just happened with me ....   When i was surfing through new arrivals in the online portal Flipkart, and i was aiming to buy a simple kind of a book, easy to read, not too loaded with emotions, probably with a happy ending ..... i somehow stumbled upon this one ..... and i liked it ... i ordered it and when it arrived .....

OH !!! on its front page there it was ...the logo....the marking....huge and nicely visible...... M&B ......

So this is how i own one of those ....The story of how i got My first M&B.....

The Perfect One !!!

Some time back i had a FB status ' Kisi mahaan insaan ne kaha hai --  "Kabhi Kabhi Imperfect chiz Perfect chiz se jyada acchi lagti hai" '

All our life we all have done a lot of things , education , job, friends , fun .... but in all these as humans we have always felt the need of a companion, someone who is exclusive for us....

Everyone is waiting for their Ms or Mr Perfect ...
Lot of my friends are now married or in a relationship , may be they got theirs Perfect one or may be not...

In this process a lot of people have asked me the question, what would i like to see in my Mr Perfect , what would be the qualities i would like in him...

I have tried a lot to think about the must have, good to have, must not have in him...... but i have realized one thing in this process.......

I am not a perfect person, and no other person is perfect,
So , if any guy is not a perfect person for me than obviously i will never be a perfect person for him also....
So two imperfect people .... how can they ever have a perfect life , how can they be happy and live a happily ever after life....

Truth is..... the happily ever after is always true in a perfect setting of a fairy tale world, but in this real and imperfect world we strive every day very hard to have a perfect life .....

So how to know who the Perfect person is ?

i would say the question is wrong ...... its not about the Perfect Person , its about the Imperfect Person who is just Right for you and only you ......

So for all the people who want to know what i want ..... i dont have the bullet point answer for them yet... and i dont think i will ever have it ... but one answer i have for myself....

The key to happy life not to find the Mr Perfect or crying about not finding Mr Perfect ....
Adaptability and Change are the key of existence... and everyone changes in life....

And the answer per me for a happy life with your better half is your desire to put efforts....

Its all about the effort we put in changing for a person or in making a person understand our point of view...

And till we enjoy, really enjoy and see the fun in the efforts we put for the other person , in changing our selves or in understanding them or in making them understand us ..... we can guarantee a happy life ...

So , its not about finding the Perfect one for me, but its finding the flawed one with whom i would love to change for a better life ... where both can loose some individuality and make a common identity

Winning !!!

Recently in my office we had a event.... it was fun frolic and freedom...set on the backdrop of Independence Day celebration we could see a lot of enthusciastic participants for a lot of competetions that we organized....

There were competitions targetting all kind of audiences in office.... the very energetic , very enthusciastic types.. the very sportive ones... the one good at certain games... the ones who are good at acting / singing and also for the ones who are good at jugaad ....

But something else i could see in all these events....
The main intention of these games and wide range we offered on the plate was for a sole reason of  "ice-breaking" ...
so that people know each other, the work environment improves and people get comfortable working in this environment.....

I was part of the organizing team as well as an active participant in the activities / games ..
As we had this fun-filled week going on, we had a lot Masti , i got to know a lot of people and lot of people got to know me....
The event was definitely successful.....

But during these fun games one more side of people came out....

Everyone wanted to win, everyone wanted to get a prize...
You would ask me , "So whats wrong ? " There is nothing wrong in winning or having the thoughts and aspiration to win... after all a healthy competition brings out the best in us...
But winning is required when there is a competition ... when we were just having events and not competition how does it matter who wins...
People did not just participate for fun, they participated asking what would they get if they win....

When someone wins there is someone who is losing,
but this was not at all our intention , we never intended to declare on person as winner and the others as losers......
Cant we judge which are Competitions and which are just Activities....

If these grown ups behave like this what would they be able to teach the future generation...

Cocktail !!!

I very recently happened to watch the newest Bollywood flick "Cocktail" ....
And the story-line invariably reminded me of few more movies....  like the SRK - Kajol - Rani Superhit "Kuch Kuch Hota Hai" or the Hrithik- Rani- Kareena flick "Mujhse Dosti Karoge"

Every time i watch such a movie a single thought keeps coming to my mind.... Why.... What....

Why... Why the hell a best friend cannot be your girlfriend...
What...What do you get being such Hypocrites...

A Gal is the best buddy to a Guy coz she is cool , bindaas , happy-go-lucky, easy to gel with kind of a person... the kind of person whom you can share everything that comes to your mind and everything that is close to your heart.....
But ... the same gal cannot ever be the girl-friend.... the girl-friend is always the more classy one , the more beautiful one, the one person who you have not known properly but you can feel the guitar playing in the back ground......

Why is this , What is this ?

Suddenly everything that mattered in your friend is useless and you need someone who would be approved by your mother....

Suddenly the bindaas attitude cannot be tolerated anymore....

A carefree , jhalli  , who knows you in a much better way has to make way for a sassy girl....
Why is that the same characters what made the gal and the boy the best of friends now are the biggest hindarances from becoming of their bf and gf...

Why is that tom-boyish attitude which is so appreciated in frnship now so hated when the same person proposes as a Beau .....

Opposites Attract !!!

We have listened to so many stories and so many songs …… the M&B classics…. Our Bollywood movies…
We have read about a rich gurl in love with a poor guy or vice versa…The Cinderella gets her Prince Charming….

And we always have seen some things common to all these….
One of such things is ….Opposites Attract….

True right… every one of us must have felt that at some time in their lives….

A strong attraction to something / someone which we don’t have … The qualities we always felt like having but never could acquire….. A charming smile…. Bubbly attitude…. A beautiful dance move… A melodious voice… A …and the list is endless…. Each one of you could add something to the list…

But I don’t know if that is all we need ‘ For a life time supply of happiness’….

How long the attraction lasts… sometimes minutes, sometimes a lifetime… But have you wondered why there is this difference ?

Is Opposites Attract enough for a love story to sustain, The Smile to have its charm at ‘teen’ and also lasting till the age of 'A set of fake teeth’….

Do you have a theory … why some love stories are momentous and some are epics… What is the secret to the ‘....And they lived happily ever after.....'

I wondered on this thought for a long time and I have realized that if a story begins with ‘Opposite Attracts’ then it would have lots of lovely chapters added to it if the second part of the story has ‘Similarity Adheres ‘…

And I feel that…

This is when you look back you can always see a lovely start and a great finish to your own classic love story…..

“Opposites Attract …But....Only Like Adheres….”

Otty in Monsoons !!!

It was my 2nd visit to Ooty aka Utkamandalam.....monsoons of 2010...

my first vist to Ooty was in peak winter's , new yr 2007, 5 friends and an awesome driver made the trip memorable in many ways......
more days spend , more sites visited, many obstacles handled and it was one of its kind visit.

But the 2nd visit to Ooty or rather would say to Coonoor was short and sweet...
just 4 of us.... and a indica...just 2 days... a debutant driver for out of the city limits drive and monsoons.....

The trip was planned suddenly, arrangements made on the run and home stay booked after reaching ...
in all this nothing went bad, thanks to our luck :)

we planned to start very early in the morning , but one dear friend of ours always has the habit of challenging time and so we started almost 2 hrs late than our plans...
it was just dawn and 4 enthusciasts started for the long road journey...

it was very first time i tasted Muda Idli and i am a fan since then of Kamath's Muda Idli....
it was almost 9.00 when we crossed the city i adore - the city with the very beautiful , majestic and twinkiling palace , city of Mysore....

we started on perfect day with bit of sun and clouds sailing up in the sky ... but by the time we reached mysore it was getting hotter...
we were enthusciastically waiting for the Bandipur forest reserve to start in the hopes of some shade....

Bandipur came with all its pleasantness.... the winderness .... silence.... ocassional vehichles crossing.... many wild animals harmlessly roaming... and 5 of us enjoying the drive.. looking at the great western ghats in front of us at sky high range.....

Gradually we started gaining height and by the time we reached ooty we were part of the sky high majestic niligiris....

Now the tough call came... with all the rain and lunch and short-sweet pykara visit we had lost time ...
Ooty by 4.00 pm in Sept evening was almost dark and desserted....
We decided to go directly to Conoor in the hopes of covering at least some view points before it was completely dark ...

Looking for directions and asking the few lonely souls on our way we managed to guide our amateur driver to the mountains of coonoor..
By the time we reached Lamb's rock view point all we could see was clouds sailing below and sound of rain on our shoulders...

with 2-3 hot hot cups of local tea we got some warmth and hopes ..
and we started asking the shop-wala about some place to stay for the night...
someone overheard us and urged to help... and we became skeptical to appreciate his help, with so much unknown fears but with a "marta kya na karta" feeling we started following the person to the hotel location....

a home stay, name was not visible, no network on phone, and super hungry...
no energy to bargain the prices at those hours we decided to take one big room with extra mattresses arranged....

but it was one of the most amazing experiences i have ever had....
bon-fire , dinner arranged outdoors - a full buffet of local veggie delight and authentic food from the slopes of ooty....
as we retired to our room, there were discussions about old days.. college life.... happiness and miseries... the then life and hopes and despairs...
the fun... and what not....

we slept late , but around 5.00 am i woke up and when i tried to see outside the room which was all darkness the previous night was now "wowwwwwww .. breathtaking ...."
the whole of metupalayam city was visible.... our home stay all surrounded by lush green tea estates of conoor and the trail to the top of lamb's rock just at our backyards.....
it was truly an experience to remember my whole life.....

with not much time to spare and just the sunday available for all the sight seeing and return journey to cover we started getting ready....

a sumptuous breakfast.... a small walk to explore the local.... lots of photography...... and we were set to head to ooty...
with minimal time spent in ooty sight seeing we just sticked to boating in ooty lake ..that too from a back door entry :) ...saved us time....
shopped for chocolates and headed for bangalore....

but to our worries, it started pouring and the visibility was confined to less than a meter only...
with the fear that bandipur gates would be closed if it becomes late we just prayed for our lives while we descended the western ghats range....
somehow we made it safely to the plains and were back in our familiar cozy beds in our respective homes by 3.00 am....

a weekend full of stories to tell and experiences to share...
my 2nd ooty visit ..summarized here and the movie still playing in my head

Authenticity and Globalization !!!

U like "Agra ka Petha" , "Mathura ke pede" , "Bengali Rasogulla" , "Odisha Chenapoda" , "Chennai MysorePak" , "Gujrati Dhokla" , "Mumbai Bhakarwadi" , "Hyderabadi Karachi Bakery" .....

Some years ago .. these things were not so easily available everywhere....
When we name a particular thing and relate it to a particular place we understand the connection...

Someone coming from a certain place used to ger souverniers for friends and family... but now all we see is big brands and globalization....

Its not like that this new concept has not helped us in our daily walk of our lives but its worth understanding that it has also managed to vanish the charm of certain things...

Now you dont need to travel all the way to Kasmir to get a Kasmiri galicha or a pashmina shawl... it is now available in all the kasmiri emporiums across the country....

Some one travelling all the way from Hyd to a different city with a big box of the authentic Karachi Bakery bisuits if hears from the native of the other city " its available in our nearby supermarket as well" ... it breaks the heart for sure.....

Also . the so called Rasgullas of some big brands if try to match the local taste from Bengal and Odisha then i will laugh at it for sure....

So, i still have these random thoughts about this Authenticity Vs Globalization and i will still have apprehensions for all the readily avaialble things which are named authentic by the makers and the takers....

A year after !!!

A year... 365 days...

at the same time last year, i had some apprehensions , confusions, irritations and aggression....

But gradually i am becoming a part of all that ....
I have become a part of someone else's same kinds of frustrations... to help them know this place better....

So here is the list of all the good things about this city...
1. street shopping - good
2. bargaining - ample choice
3. street food - good , specially the pani-puris which have aloo masala are abundantly found...
4. lots of alternative roads for vehicle owners (no choice for public transport users)
5. good bus route coverage
6. international food is good, more varieties
7. loads and loads of flower vendors everywhere
8. cooler climate, pleasant breeze always
9. spring is colourful... even with all the pollution and cutting of trees, it definitely has its own charms...
10. small ventures and budding business people have more oppurtunities in this city
11. more number of coffee shops everywhere
12. every locality has a small park / gardern / joggers track / playground for sure.. sometimes its more than one....
13.

To New Friends !!!

The city of gardens.... though not much of it i can see now....
standing on the 8th floor of my office building when i try to see towards the horizon, all i see is blocks of buildings forming the skyline of bangalore...
no green ... just some orange and yellow from the outer ring road....

but , in all this there is still something new and good to cherish...

i have met some nice people.... genuine , fun, caring, loving, and worth knowing...

all this great feelings at the cost of some jams is definitely OK.

so , to all the wonderful people i have met in this year of my bangalore stay...
Thank You for making a whole year of mine more meaningful then i thought it would be and for accepting me with all my good and bad...

i owe u a big bow...

6 months in New city !!!

I arrived in this city in Monsoons but didnt see much of it ....
May be i didnt see because i was preoccupied to see something else....or may be it didnt happen for me to see....

But now its 6 months and its Spring time ....
the Heat is increasing, the glare of sun is more dominant...
but there is spring in the air....
the breeze jsut about the correct temperature...
pink, blue, purple and orange wild blooms everywhere....

i am not yet a true banglorean but i have started liking it for the things it has and not anymore am hating it for the things it doesnot have.....
There is no relative ranking hence forth, just the absolute measurement...

There are things which make it special...unique and differnt from the rest palces....
and now i am here to find them, feel them, treausre them, measure them and create new memories....

The Year that was 2010 !!!

it has to be good or it has to be bad or is there a possibility that is was nothing....
May be nothing is a big word to sum up a whole year, let me take it back....
so, it has to be something.... lets me sum it all up...

January , my b'day, i was sad to grow up one year, sad to have more yr of experiences which are not easy to share...

February , my only vacation during the yr 2010... Samy's marriage , Sumi made me an aunt...it was all so wonderful to be away from work for a while...thank god my lonely V'day ghost didnt come scaring me while i was enjoying mom made food .....

March, welcoming new roomies, it was not so tough but we were skeptical..it was a while i had seen any change at my flat...

April, it was getting hotter and hotter in Hyd, and i was waiting for my mom's and sis's short visit ....

May, i felt a lot helpless this time with the heat increasing and my cooler not working made me run a lot to electrician and hardware stores.... and the more i hated it the more i felt like a typical gal.. other than the bad things, mom was with me in Hyd for few days and i was happy to come back home from office every single day....also may brought good luck to few ppl when 2 of my good friends tied the knot on one day and somehow managed to attend both the functions...

June, just like that i got an idea to come to bangalore, though i hated the city but there were few things which were forcing me to leave hyd and come live here ...
The idea of 2 sisters staying together was a lot scary also... what if we could not bond the way were thinking , what if we start hating each other for the rest of our lives....but with the faith that all will be good i asked for a transfer...

July, it was again time to look for more flatmates, many things were changing and i also got an approval for my transfer to bangalore but with a clause... but i was happy and accepted the clause...

Aug, Time for change..time to meet all friends in Hyd before i left the city... time to set up everything new , fresh , i dont know if should sound exciting or should sound like too much work to do....Hyd saw a good rain after i left and wished i was there to enjoy the monsoons....

Sept, Shifted to the new rented apt with sis and now it was time to prove myself as a sweet big sister.. both joined hands to do all the shopping and to setup our lttle home here in the hustle bustle of bengaluru... it was tough ...new things at home, new ppl at work, new assignments, new manager, new city and one old me.....
Oct, me and sis had our first big fight...both were maybe doing too much to appear normal for the one month and we both snapped....but like good sisters we patched up...

Nov, happily celebrated my sister's 25th b'day...It was also time for Happy Diwali...I was getting tough by this time in office....and i missed nidhi and udit's marriage....i regret it till date.....

Dec, time for planning to welcome the next new year....with lots of confusions and questions we headed to Wayanad..not a great trip as expected but a change is always welcomed.....

City Life !!!

Its not even a month here in the city of gardens and city of lakes as they call it , bangalore or bengaluru....

I really just don't know what to write or where to start...
i am still just dazed or am just so dizzy with the pace here i am not yet sure..

every morning i also try to start in the same pace as others, but somehow i feel lost by the mid of the day..

Every one here is in a hurry..
Hurried to get up in the morning..
To reach office in a hurry...
The bus cars bikes all r in a hurry....
hurry to avoid traffic...
hurry to reach someplace ...
hurry while walking not to miss the first bus that comes....
people reach office in a hurry... to start their work ..
then they work in a hurry.. to finish off the day's work..
then they leave in a hurry to reach home early ...
then they reach home, have dinner in a hurry to call it a day to start one more hurried day...

in all this thing... i keep on wondering...
why and what this hurry is all about...

work to rise up the ladder faster, own a bigger better flat, a softer and fluffier bed, a better education for kids, drive a even spacious and longer car....

on the contrary , few things here are never in a hurry..
there is no hurry for the clouds to rain... they just remain there for days before they rain.
the wind is not in a hurry .... to blow away the clouds to help the sun peek once in a while at people and places below...
the weather is not in a hurry to pass ... it just loves to be the spring that everyone here admires so much

in all this hurry-burry of my life which i don't know if i am also getting used to or still has time to get used to....
but i am wondering ...is life only this much to worry about, to hurry about !!!

what about the thing called life...
when did we enjoy that...

people boast about the beautiful weather here... but when do u enjoy it in the whole day i feel like asking... but never did as i am experiencing the answer everyday...no one has the time to do so...
when did u had the chance to sit quietly in ur apartment to enjoy a nice cup of tea with ur flatmate / spouse ...
when did u enjoy riding ur bigger better car and not just worried about getting hit by a fellow next to you...
when did u create the bond with ur colleague and not just worked and hurried back home....

all in this busy life everyone has just one next-to-do-thing on their mind .....
is everyone here so sure of their Destinations , do they know what they want in life, that the path does not really matter to them, only it matters how u reach there faster..

i am still asking the question... what about people like me ... who like to experience the path which leads you to your destination, after all memories are made on the way also not jsut at the destination ...

A evening during Monsoons !!!

A black sky, heavy rains , knee deep water on roads thats how the evening begins....
Water splattering from all sides on the car's windows, laptop bags in our laps and planning a lazy evening ....

Early escape from the office.....
3 old frns and one new me ...

The nearest chocolate room, a table at the smoker's zone , and the smoke making way to the non smokers always .....

A sizzling chocolate brownie and 4 spoons digging into it.....
For a change the smoke was welcoming and intoxicating and not injurious to health :) ...

A lazy chat, more stories to tell, good old times to recollect, all truth's no dare, gobbling away the sandwiches and wraps....

More smokes , some photographs , leg pulling , match making and lots of laughs...

Carefree attitudes, no drama, more round of tea and cappuccino......

Way back home, a bad traffic jam, loud music and hopes for more good times...

A perfect evening during monsoons (just ignore the jam)

Monday, August 9

Rewind and Play !!!

There are few days in everyone's life which they want to Rewind and Play all over again and do not feel like making any changes to it....

One b'ful day, one i10, 5 old frns, a long drive on the highway, a dhaba, a lazy late lunch, back home for a kadak adrak ki chai, one animation movie - funny and good, a dinner together....

Kodak moments....

Just the real u and 12 hrs of fun unlimited, no grudges no serious chats, old memories and lots of laughs......

One of my 'Rewind and Play' days.....

A Gals Thing !!!

If you are a gal....It is just the thing you can relate to....

Its not that i am feminist...Ohh okk...I am a Big time Feminist...

its not like that i dont adore my boy-friends (friends who are boys)....
But
I feel that every gal deserves to have a good bunch of girl-friends (friends who are gals), and should always have them in her life...

After a long time i also felt that again...
And i am writing this as i am getting nostalic about my college time memories and am missing my good old flatmates....

I just had my lunch today with a gals gang... and believe me i just loved it....

You might have seen the four gals in the "Sex-And-The-City" and might have wondered what the hell(guys' reaction) or ohh yes thats awesome(if you are a gal)...

Its just so cool at times when you can become emotional and still not feel stupid....
When you can laugh at almost everything and then at nothings.....
Someone just understands you why you are sad when you nail-paint got damaged just slightly at the corner....
or why not every shoe goes well with every dress...

It feels relaxing when you can hug someone tightly and they do not feel bad or embarassed or attracted to you.....
Where you can discuss movies, designs, styles and also sports and not just sports...
When having a crush on a cute guy is openly admitted and you are not judged of your character.....

I can discuss my PMS days without a 'jhijhak' and i know you would understand it...
i can do some bitching , and know you wont be judgemental at all.....
From the 'pati-dev ke jhagde se', 'bacchon ki nappy' tak.. i know your are only ones who would empathaise with me ....

A gal can have family, relatives, siblings, spouse/ boyfriends, colleagues, friends but her life is incomplete without a gals gang...

This is dedicated to all my girl-friends....
i love you gals and i miss you when you are away....

My Ace-Idiot !!!

We all watched the movie 3 idiots , we all liked it, we all could related it to our lives, we all could remember atleast one teacher in our lives who taught us to ‘Ratofy’ (memorise , learn by heart) whatever notes he used to give ,we atleast could remember one student who was jealous enough and greedy enough to score the top position like Chatur in the movie, and we could remember atleast one person like amir khan’s character in the movie.

After the movie 3 idiots , students don’t feel ashamed of being called an idiot by their teachers, rather they feel proud…such is the influence of bolloywood….
But for me the movie 3 idiots and amir khan’s dialouges were more or less like a action reply, a review telecast of a live match….

I also take the liberty of getting influenced by the religion called Bollywood and use the term ‘Idiot’ in the way its now redefined and m proud to tell for me the Ace-idiot is not Amir in the movie but its my Father in my life……

My father might not have used the ‘Cool’ language but the lessons taught are always the same….

He always used to tell me and my sis Life will be good if you think its good because then you get the courage to fight the bad times to make it good …. (Aaall is Well)
He always used to tell “ you should race for two things in life
1. to be a good person in life
2. to gain knowledge “
Whenever I used to go to the cloud 9 for getting a 48 of 50 and topping an exam, he always used to tell “don’t think you topped your test exam in your class and don’t boast your ego, because your race should never be to be the topper. Always remember you are still behind the 100%. Compete with the 100% and not with your fellow students ,that would bring you success . Don’t be satisfied with anything less than that and you would know its not so easy to defeat the 100% and that would always keep you grounded”
(Marks ke liye maat padho Kuch sikhne ke liye padho Safalta Jhak marke tumhare piche aaegi)

Sounds !!!

There are certain sounds which always lifts your mood , which always gives kicks for more and more and you cant just go bored hearing it ....

The sound of cuckoo singing on a very hot day
The sound of bangles of a newly wedded, ghoonghat clad bride for her man
The sound of music from a distance
The sound of the first word uttered by a baby
The sound of rain in a desert
The sound of karchi on kadai (ladle on vessel) when someone is affectionately making food for you
The sound of aarti performed during a puja
The sound of anklets heard behind the door when after a hectic day you listen your mom approaching the door to open if for you with a big broad smile
The sound of the voice of your beloved
The sound of sea
The sound of a young river flowing through the rocky terrain
The sound of laughter of young kids
The sound of silence while watching the star studded sky

Quater Life Crisis - a new dimension

Recently i happened to attend one of my friends wedding.
and as i stayed back at her place for a day during the wedding i got an oppurtunity to interact with many of her friends and relatives....

at a wedding u meet all kinds of people, toothless infants to toothless oldies , happening careless youngsters to quadra-generians and newly weds to brand new mothers ....all of them...

but something was different, i realised i dont fall into any of the categories... and there you are no-one if you are not one of the 6...

when suddenly it strikes you that you have come ahead of a glorious past and dont have the charm left to woo a college going one or rather you are really old for them and you have not yet stepped into the 'oh my husband and inlaw's family' kind of discussions also ...

from both sides you are kind of equidistant , well separated by wide channels and dont have the license to take the bridge to the other side....

and these are the places people see you with mercy, the young ones that you are still single and not dating anyone and the old ones that you are single and not yet married...

these are the places when you cant talk about your crushes, your qualification, you job life and your wonderful friends and flatmates... and then it is like 'i am speechless as i dont know any other topic to talk about this has been my life for some time now'....

this is when i realised what quater life crisis actually is... or what new discussions can we add to the quater life crisis problems and discussions...

and just then it dawns on you that quater life crisis has not left you untouched either.....
